I picked these maple cookies at Walgreens the other day and I literally couldn’t stop eating them! Despite the fact that I typically like soft cookies and not crunchy ones, these are possibly becoming my favorite cookies. And, yes, they are delish as it says on the box. I also love how the box portrays that the cookies should be about as big as a wedding cake.
I love my little Keep Calm and Carry On book and I adore this quote by Dale Carnegie on one of the pages: “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you.”
I adored Veronica Roth’s “Divergent” and was waiting on pins and needles for the second book, “Insurgent”, to come out. I’m telling you, friends, I plowed through that book like a torpedo. I couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t focus on anything else. I adore Tris for being so strong and smart and brave and so…independent. She fights her battles, her mistakes, her demons, and isn’t ever a damsel in distress. Although, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to be a damsel in distress just to have Four come to the rescue? I have SO MANY favorite quotes. Here are two: “Grief is not as heavy as guilt, but it takes more away from you.” and
Realized: marrying a guy who makes me laugh was one of my best life decisions.
