When I first met Morgan, one of the first things she told me about her wedding was that she really, really wanted snow. No one could’ve predicted the brutal winter we’ve had here in Iowa–so brutal, in fact, that I wasn’t even sure it would warm up enough to snow! But Morgan got her wish. On Saturday morning, we woke up to several inches of fresh, clean snow blanketing the ground. It was pretty magical.
Even the beauty of the fresh snow had nothing on these two though. Their love for each other shone through every part of the day. During their ceremony, the pastor read each of their answers to the question, “Why do you want to marry [the other]?” Their answers spoke volumes to the depth of their friendship, love, and respect for each other.
The lace detailing on Morgan’s Maggie Sottero gown was exquisite! And then her shoes…her Badgley Mischka pride & joy, they were absolute perfection!
Morgan & Bryce opted for a First Look and, despite the freezing temperatures, they chose to do all of their photos outside. Keep scrolling down and you’ll see why this ended up being such a stunning choice!
When dealing with this kind of weather, I try to form a plan inside with the bridal party so that I don’t have to keep them outside too long to arrange them into groupings. This fabulous party made my work so easy!
Snow started sliding off the roof (if you look closely, you can see it still falling!) and it was a surprise to everyone. I adore their reactions!
Morgan is a graphics designer and spent hours and hours last summer creating this stunning program. The guests loved it, as you can see, and it was a really unique, fun way to get to know the bridal party and families, fun tidbits about Morgan & Bryce, and to pass the time before the ceremony began. There was even a Morgan & Bryce crossword puzzle and comic on the back page!
The reception was held at Wooden Wheel Vineyards in Keota, Iowa.
M&B, I hope you are absolutely loving your honeymoon on the beach. It was such a privilege to be part of your wedding day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Xo!
