The forecast said “abundant sun” and it did not lie, haha. While the temperatures were warm in the mid-80s (and no clouds!), we were thankful it was cooler than a few days before when the heat index was well over 100 degrees. We also utilized as much shade as we could for pictures to keep everyone cool.
But prior to that, I started by photographing Maddie and Justin’s details. They had a beautiful, clean palette with lots of whites and pale pinks. The florals were stunning, a mix of huge arrangements along with small vases with 2-3 stems apiece. The whole day was so fun to photograph!
Maddie and Justin met 11 years ago, an amount of years that their families and friends are sure to remind them of often (“finally!”), in university in English Comp II. “I think we were aware of each other because it was a smaller class,” Maddie says. “But it wasn’t until we went to computer lab to write a paper that we actually sat next to each other. Our teacher was handing back papers that had been graded and we were talking about who might have the better score. After the class ended for the day, I got up and left and it was maybe a few days later when Justin found me on Facebook and messaged me.” (You can read about their first date here.)
Congratulations to the new Sheldons! It was a perfect day and just the start of a beautiful life together.
