My best friend and I were meeting for mani/pedis after a long week of painting and such. I went to the mall early to do a Target run before we met so I texted her and told her I was at Target, but just to let me know when she gets there and I’ll meet her. She called me a minute later and said, “Why are we the same person? I came early too to get stuff at Target!” So we shopped together. This is what best friends are for.
So I’m deathly afraid of the dark and now having three floors and triple the square footage in our new house, we had to invest in some night lights. I’m still not sure if I can be more than one floor away from Kevin at any given time.
Also, relating to best friends, Sara saw a gray hair and kindly just reached over and pulled it out for me. We’re still not sure if it was leftover paint in my hair or an actual gray hair. I wouldn’t be surprised by either one. (If you’re best friend doesn’t do this kind of courtesy for you, you may need a new best friend.)
I’m irrationally annoyed by people who say they’re showing up and do not. We’ve had terrible luck this past month with furniture (the sofa incident and the new office desk incident–both from different companies entirely), the insurance folks, and, most recently, the plumber. A-nnoyed. Just come on the day and time that you promised. Is that too much to ask?
One of these days I’ll have something to talk about besides the house. Give me some time for that though…
