You know I love a Friday wedding–the magic of hosting an event while much of the world is still clocked in at their regular job is so intimate and special–and Christel and Steven’s wedding day was extra lovely in every way. The weather was perfect; something we sometimes take for granted, but this spring has been so extra windy and fickle so every beautiful weather day has me smiling like I’m singularly blessed. Also to note, the trees are finally filling in with leaves and the greens are bursting! At a venue like Wilson’s Ciderhouse, this makes for the most gorgeous views in every direction. When I look at the photo above, I see so much texture and that makes my artistic heart so happy.
Christel and Steven were a dream to work with. They were relaxed, happy, and genuinely just there to enjoy the day with each other, their kids and family, and their friends. I was able to create the timeline so that nothing was rushed and we all had so much fun together roaming around outside. A wedding day with that kind of relaxed vibe is a key piece to creating photos that reflect a relaxed, happy couple.
Congratulations, Christel and Steven! I’m so happy for your family to be officially whole and for you to celebrate your love for years to come.

I showed the kids this creek and gave them strict instructions about how close they could get. They got some pretty good rock skips and I only had clean two white shoes afterwards!

Not shown: ice cream. Can we talk about an ideal dessert table?!?
